Vein Frame
Our perception of space is an intuitive sensation, inherently dynamic rather than static. These hanging fabrics serve as frames exhibiting the surrounding from multiple viewpoints. The view through the semi-transparent fabric amplifies the change of the landscape over time and different viewpoints. The lines embroidered on the frames overlap with the landscape and new ridges are created into the scene.

The Lung Zone
Organisms can obtain oxygen and sustain life because of their lungs. The lungs’ porous structure allows the passage of oxygen. Light and air circulation brings the space to life and provides a lively experience to the people inside. This attempt is to transform walls into membrane-like windows. The structure created by multi-layering rice paper above a honeycomb shaped paper was permeable to light and air while retaining the strength of plastic materials.

Fused Bodies
The roof extends from the center like arms extending from a spine. The rafter swells at the end, resembling the subtle curvature of buttocks, while the pillars support the structure sturdily like a leg. Soft, fabric objects resembling body parts were fused into the structure. This fusion reflects the memories and traces of the people who inhabited this house.

Reflection
This project was nominated for the 2021 Seoul National University Public Art Contest and was installed on the campus. This idea was inspired by the end of the pandemic, aiming to create a space where students could interact face-to-face. The design features two entrances on opposite sides leading to separate rooms. Despite the physical separation, individuals in these distinct spaces can visually connect with each other through the wooden brick walls and the mirrors attached on the ceiling and floor of the pavilion.

Silent Ground
I conceptualized a space where numerous individuals can engage in private communication within a shared environment, with overlapping ellipses with shared focal points. People seated at each point can converse privately in pairs, even with small voices. By slightly adjusting their orientation, communication with others in different ellipses is possible. Also, most of the noise reflected from the wall and floor is absorbed, creating a ‘noise-canceled’ environment.

By the Brook
Chosen as part of the 2023 Seoul Urban Art Project, this project aims to prompt citizens to contemplate the coexistence of nature and humanity within their daily lives at Seoul Botanic Park. Located in the Magok Area, which is a significant water source for the city of Seoul, the park is uniquely positioned above an underground water regeneration center, offering a serene lakeside space for the citizens of Seoul. Given the area's inseparable connection to water, a public art installation depicting the flow of water was integrated into the park trail.

Golden Hour
Sponsored by L’Occitane Korea and Harper's Bazaar Korea, I crafted a window shade from recycled aluminum tubes of used hand creams. The piece, titled 'Golden Hour,' carries a dual interpretation – a depiction of the golden scenery itself and a message signaling the last opportunity to preserve nature. The design weaves a narrative into the functionality of the window shade, which divides into pieces and turns over. When the shade is opened, the shining scenery shatters, serving as a metaphor for the swift disappearance of nature around us.
